A vibrant, Christ-centred church based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, committed to helping people encounter God, grow in faith, and live transformed lives.
Sparks is where children encounter the love of Jesus in a safe, joyful, and faith-building environment. Through worship, Bible stories, prayer, games, and creative activities, we help each child discover who God created them to be and grow confidently in their relationship with Him.
Whether your child is energetic, shy, curious, or full of questions — Sparks is a place where they will be welcomed, encouraged, and loved.
OUR VISION
To raise a generation of children who know Jesus personally, understand His Word, and boldly shine His light wherever they go.
We serve children aged 2–11 years (up to Year 6 Primary).
A warm, secure play area designed for our youngest little ones.
Parents/guardians remain present to supervise while children enjoy toys, soft play, and gentle activities that create a positive first church experience.
A fun, interactive environment filled with simple Bible stories, songs, crafts, and activities that help young children understand God’s love in a hands-on way.
A dynamic group for older children to dive deeper into Scripture through worship, teaching, memory verses, discussions, and creative challenges. We help them build strong foundations in Christ as they grow in confidence and faith.
After the main worship segment in the service, children aged 3–11 are released to Sparks.
Our team will guide them to their rooms.
Children aged 2–3 remain with their parent/guardian in the Play Sparks area.
Parents/guardians must collect their child from the allocated Sparks room immediately after service.
For safety, only the adult who checked the child in — or someone named during registration — can collect them.
No child will be released without proper verification.
If you’re visiting Sparks for the first time, we’re so glad you’re here.
When you arrive, our team will help you register your child in person. This allows us to:
Keep your child safe and secure
Be aware of allergies or additional needs
Ensure your child is placed in the correct age group
Make pick-up smooth and stress-free
Our team will guide you through the process on the day and answer any questions you may have.
Your child’s safety is our priority. Every Sparks leader and volunteer is DBS-checked.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is a UK safeguarding background check that confirms a person is safe to work with children.
It ensures there are no past offences or concerns that would put children at risk.
God is calling you to help build His house and invest in the next generation. If you feel ready to serve and want to make a real impact in the lives of children, we’d love to have you on the team.
If you’re new, we encourage you to take some time to settle in, grow, and receive before stepping into serving.
When you’re ready, fill out the application below.
At Sparks, children don’t just attend a class — they become part of a community that worships, learns, laughs, and grows together.
Our prayer is that every child leaves knowing:
God loves me.
God made me on purpose.
I can shine His light wherever I go.
