A vibrant, Christ-centred church based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, committed to helping people encounter God, grow in faith, and live transformed lives.
Ignite is our Youth Ministry for children aged 11–18 years (Secondary Age).
Young people gather every Sunday after worship in the main service for a time of teaching, connection, and discipleship designed specifically for their stage of life.
Our desire is that young people be set on fire for Christ — growing in deep, authentic faith, grounded in the truth of God’s Word. We want to equip our youth with both knowledge and understanding of the Bible so they can live out their faith boldly and proclaim the gospel in their generation.
Ignite is a place where young people encounter God, ask honest questions, and explore what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday lives.
We guide them through Scripture in a way that is clear, relevant, and practical, helping them build a strong foundation that will carry them into adulthood.
Young people thrive when they feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger. Ignite is a safe space to build friendships rooted in shared faith and purpose.
We help young people understand who they are in Christ and how God can use them to bring light, hope, and truth into their schools, families, and world.
We believe this generation is called by God — bold, capable, and full of potential.
Ignite exists to help them:
Grow in confidence in their identity in Christ
Understand the Bible and how to apply it
Develop a personal relationship with God
Stand firm in a challenging culture
Carry the message of Jesus with courage and love
If you’re joining Ignite for the first time, we ask all young people (or their parents/guardians) to complete a quick registration form. This helps us keep everyone safe, stay connected, and make sure your young person is placed in the right group.
To speed things up, you can register in advance:
All Ignite leaders and volunteers are DBS-checked to ensure the highest level of safeguarding.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check confirms a person is safe to work with children and young people, and is a standard safeguarding requirement in the UK.
If you feel called to invest in the next generation and support teenagers on their journey with God, we’d love to have you on the Ignite team.
If you’re new, we encourage you to take some time to settle, grow, and receive before stepping into serving.
