Day 18 – The Joy of Completion
(Exodus 39:32- 43)
Remember God called you
God gave Moses a big, complex, and demanding task of building a tabernacle. He anointed men and women with the wisdom and skill to build it. They were not overwhelmed but were committed to the task. They paid great attention to all the details of the assignment.
When God calls us to an assignment, it might look too big or overwhelming for us. But we must remember that God who called us has equipped us with whatever is necessary to accomplish the task at hand. We must therefore not be overwhelmed by any task God has given us.
We need one another
The people worked as a team, respecting each other’s gifting. They recognised that God has given each person a different gift, and that they are individually incomplete for the assignment. They needed one another for the tabernacle to be built. God does not call us alone. We need one another. The people around you are God’s gift to you for the assignment He has given you.
For you to fulfil God’s assignment for your life, you must recognise and celebrate the gifts God has given you, in the people around you. The people around you are God’s greatest gifts to you.
You need big, strong, and gifted people to complete God’s assignment for your life.
Rewarded for completion
They started the work, continued it, until they completed it. The beauty of their individual efforts came together in the completed work. They did everything as the Lord had directed Moses. They did not do their own thing, but painfully followed the plan. Moses blessed them after they had finished.
You will be rewarded for completion, not starting. Your rewards in life are tied to the completion of the assignments God has given you. God rewards completion.
Completion brings fulfilment and joy
Completion brings fulfilment and joy. To be fulfilled and joyful in life, you must pay attention to the assignment God has given you and finish it.
There is an exceeding joy and fulfilment waiting for you at the end of completing your God-given assignment.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing“
2 Timothy 4:7-8
With completion comes the blessing 🙏🏽
